When a consumer makes a payment, the electronic transaction flows quickly and seamlessly from the agent to the billing company via CheckFree’s secure electronic billing and payment network.

Amscot Financial, which offers extended store hours ranging from 12 to 24 hours, provides Progress Energy Florida customers with the opportunity to make their energy bill payments around the clock. Payments made by 5 p.m. will be delivered to the billing company the same day, helping consumers to avoid any late fees or service interruptions. Amscot collects a $1 convenience fee for each payment; no portion of this fee is passed along to Progress Energy.
