Comsys Enters African Market Thanks to New Partner I-New
SOESTERBERG, the Netherlands, November 8 (www.AllpayNews.com) -- Comsys has signed a partner agreement with the Austrian company I-New. Within the telephony industry I-New is engaged in custom-made integration, consultancy and software development and aims specifically at the African market. For Comsys this agreement involves the first step on the African continent, where the developments in the telephone industry happen in quick succession. The first joint project in Namibia has recently started.
The African market is expanding rapidly, and especially mobile payments are booming. Nokia's Connect eRefill solution is one of the solutions I-New enables on the African market. This solution makes it possible to recharge prepaid accounts or to make payments by transferring credits from one prepaid phone to another. Because of the rise of smaller telecom operators in Africa I-New decided to replace the existing telephony platform by a smaller one. That platform had to be scalable and open, so that it would satisfy current and future needs and would be able to run modules that had already been developed. Comsys' Speechframe(R) met those requirements and made a quick delivery of the first joint project in Namibia possible.
Peter Nussbaumer, CEO I-New: "We are continuously looking for ways to offer our clients the best and most reliable solutions. This agreement with Comsys should also be seen in that light. Scalability and flexibility are important demands. Comsys meets these demands and will keep meeting them. It was an important asset for us that SpeechFrame(R) is an open system, because that enables our clients to keep all options open for the future."
Diederik Husslage, senior account manager at Comsys: "We are very pleased with this new partner, who has the disposal of an extensive reseller network in Africa. Moreover, I-New is very well able to independently build and develop applications, and knows a lot about VoiceXML. Therefore I-New will profit from the SpeechFrame(R) platform in an optimal way."
Comsys supplies integrates and maintains SpeechFrame(R), a family of voice response systems (IVR's) for (speech controled) self-service solutions, multimedia contact centers and network services. Comsys concentrates mainly on retail organisations, media enterprises, financial institutes and telecoms operators. Comsys has more than 25 years of expierience and has realised hundreds of installations worldwide. Comsys is established at Soesterberg (The Netherlands) and has branches in Germany and the United Kingdom.
