First Data Appoints Senior Vice President of Investor Relations

DENVER--(www.AllPayNews.com)--First Data Corporation (NYSE: FDC), a leader in electronic commerce and payment services around the world, today announced that it has named Silvio Tavares as Senior Vice President and Head of Investor Relations.

Alex Holmes, Director of Investor Relations, will continue in his role for a transitional period before returning to an operational leadership position with the company.

Prior to joining First Data, Tavares was with the Corporate Executive Board Co. (NASDAQ: EXBD), in Washington, D.C. He served as Senior Director & Practice Manager for the Investor Relations Roundtable, as well as Senior Director for the CFO Executive Board.

Previously, Tavares was Director of Corporate Finance and Head of the U.K. Technology Banking team for ABN AMRO Hoare Govett in London. Before ABN AMRO, he was associated with Shearman & Sterling
