First Kentucky Bank to offer Health Savings Accounts using HSA Clearing Corp

"Adding the HSA to our list of consumer and business products using HSA Clearing Corp's turn key HSA package made perfect sense. Our customers can enjoy having an affordable HSA program at a hometown, community bank and we'll be able to provide them the most up-to-date HSA information available to help them understand all the benefits of the program," Long explained.

Mayfield, KY (www.AllPayNews.com) December 18, 2006 -- First Kentucky Bank announced on Monday that it has now added Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) to its list of product offerings to better serve the needs of its customers.

"After polling much of our customer base, especially our business customers, we found many of them were looking at changing over their health insurance to the High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs). We are happy to now be able to offer their employees a home for their Health Savings Accounts (HSA)," said David Long, CEO of First Kentucky Bank.

"First Kentucky Bank sees the future of the HSA program and the importance of offering convenient, local banking for their customers. Educational tools are the key to offering a successful HSA program and that is what HSA Clearing brings to the table. The specialized First Kentucky HSA website and other tools will help First Kentucky Bank's customers get the most out of their HSA," said Tim Morales of HSA Clearing. "First Kentucky Bank customers can keep all their bank accounts under one roof and the HSA money stays in the communities served by this great institution."

The HSA Program has been expanded with the "Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006". The U.S. Congress gave final approval on Friday 12/08/06 to H.R. 6111, which included provisions expanding Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). The newly enacted provisions will make several improvements to the already-successful HSA program.
