NetSpend(R) Continues Strong Growth in Prepaid Card Industry With Addition of Two Senior Marketing and Technology Executives
AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 13 (www.AllPayNews.com) -- NetSpend Corporation, the nation's leading processor and marketer of prepaid cards, has expanded its executive team as a result of robust company and industry growth with the appointments of Marlene Maxon as senior vice president of marketing and James DeVoglaer as vice president of information technology. CEO Rick Savard said the two executives were selected because of their broad experience.

Maxon joins NetSpend from Heinrich, a direct marketing agency based in Denver, where she was executive vice president and brings more than 20 years of marketing expertise to NetSpend's executive team. At Heinrich, Maxon developed direct marketing campaigns and launched programs for Fortune 500 companies such as Federated Department Stores, Macys.com, and Wal-Mart. Maxon's primary responsibilities will include driving NetSpend's marketing initiatives by providing strategic counsel to the executive and marketing teams. She assumes the responsibilities of Bertrand Sosa, NetSpend co-founder and vice president of advertising, who has transitioned to a role of company ambassador.
DeVoglaer will assist in technological development of NetSpend's current products and new product development. He comes to NetSpend with more than 20 years of leadership expertise in a wide-range of information technology operational areas that include nationwide field support, engagement management, professional services delivery, product development and enterprise infrastructure architecture and solutions. With experience in national and international IT operations, DeVoglaer's background spans across multiple market segments including the Department of Defense as well as the financial, healthcare and professional services industries. In 2004, DeVoglaer co- founded KAIAN, Inc., an IT management and technology consulting company that provides a broad range of tactical and strategic business-aligned consulting services to Fortune 500 companies.
A graduate of the Colorado State University, Maxon received a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and management and pursued graduate studies in financial accounting, marketing and computers. DeVoglaer is a graduate of the University of Maryland University College and holds bachelor's degrees in computer studies and Asian history and completed graduate courses in information resource management.
