Transaction Wireless Appoints Industry Veteran Bruce Springer as CEO and Retail Marketing and Stored Value Expert Thomas Niedbal

New Management Team Joins Impressive Advisory Board with Experts from Wireless, Retail and Venture Capital

SAN DIEGO--(AllPayNews)--Transaction Wireless, a mobile infrastructure, commerce and marketing company, today announced the addition of 20+-year industry veterans Bruce Springer as CEO and Thomas Niedbalski, a retail marketing and stored value expert, as vice president, sales and marketing. The new executives join CTO and founder Basil Abifaker on the management team of this growing company.

Transaction Wireless has also expanded its Advisory Board, bringing together some of the brightest minds and experienced executives from the wireless, investment and stored value industries. The Advisory Board includes Werner Sievers, CEO of Nextivity and former president/CEO of Zyray Wireless, recently acquired by Broadcom; Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDMA Development Group; Vern Yates, founder of Yates Ventures and an active angel investor, consultant and mentor to start ups; Linden Fellerman, president/founder of Secure Payment Systems, Inc. (SPS), a national leader of value added payment and transaction processing services and one of the nation’s leading check services risk management experts; and Bob Skiba, former general manager and executive VP of Stored Value Solutions (SVS), who has held numerous executive roles at retailers such as Saks, Home Depot, Gap,Inc., Barneys and Sears.

Springer brings more than 20 years of business leadership, technology, investment and marketing experience to Transaction Wireless. Prior to joining the Company, Springer served as an advisor to various private equity and venture capital firms and co-founded and served as president and CEO of BidShift, a SaaS company focused on healthcare staffing. He also founded and was managing director of GreenSpring Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm, and served as co-founder, COO and EVP of WebMD, an internet healthcare and transaction services business. Earlier in his career, he founded and ran Springer Communications, an integrated marketing firm. He currently sits on the board of AdvancedMD.

As vice president, sales and marketing, Niedbalski brings more than 23 years of experience in retail marketing, merchandising, operations and new technology development. He joined the Company from Stored Value Solutions (SVS), one of the world's leading providers of gift cards and other card-based transaction programs, where as a vice president he was responsible for developing the mass market sales channel, the SVS Loyalty Program, as well as leading the partnership marketing team with responsibility for customer expansion and market development. Prior to that, Niedbalski was promoted through the ranks at Blockbuster where he excelled for 17 years in various management roles including IT, marketing, new retail technology, operations and product development. He was also on the Blockbuster team that pioneered the first gift card and developed the Blockbuster Rewards loyalty program.
